Her kiddo(s) is/are… Amber and Elizabeth

Her location is… Fort Walton Beach, FL

How old are you now and how old is/are your munchkin(s)?  I am 20 and Amber is 18 months old and Elizabeth is 2 months old

If you could describe your child in 3 words, what would they be? Amber is hyper, adorable, and sassy. Elizabeth is sleepy, quiet, and young.

What’s an average day like for you these days? I wake up. Feed Amber and Elizabeth and Myself. Then I turn on cartoons for Amber for like 30 mins even though she rarely pays attention to them. Then I start on the housework for the day and wait for the hubby to get off work. After that I get dinner, bathe the little ones, put them to bed and then its either time with the hubby or sleep time.

If you had a day all to yourself (kid-free & lottery-financed), how would you spend it?  SHOPPING SPREEEEE lol for me and the hubby. I never get to shop 🙁

What do you feel you have enough of in life? What do you want more of? Less of?

How “blended” is your family? Are you still with the dad(s) of your kid(s)? Who has whose last name in the family? I am still with the father of my children. We got married this past April and the kids have his last name, as do I.

What are some of your big pet peeves? People who stereotype me because I am a young mom and people who cause a lot of drama.

What are the most unique things about yourself?
I can honestly say I am still finding myself other than being a wife and mom so I’ll get back to you.

And finally, what’s your writing/blogging history and style? I am just starting to do this so I am just going to write what happens in life.

I feel like I have enough good people i n my life and I could use more me time lol but that wont happen for awhile haha. What would you say your parenting style is like? I’m pretty laid back about most things. I want her to learn and explore. If I know it is bad for her I wont let her do something or touch something otherwise the house is free to her.

Her kiddo(s) is/are… Aubrey

 Her location is… Huntington, Wv

How old are you now and how old is/are your munchkin(s)? I am 20 and Aubrey is 14 months 8/23/09

If you could describe your child in 3 words, what would they be? tiring, smart, beautiful

What’s an average day like for you these days? Right now I am in school M-F going to my local University. We typically wake up by 7am, Aubrey gets dropped off at daycare shortly after, and I go to my 8am classes. yuckk! I am a full time student so I’m there till about noon everyday. From noon- 3ish I get by homework done so I can spend lots of time with Aubrey when I pick her up at 330. Sean, my fiance, is a manager for the Marshall football team so he’s normally at the field until at least 8 or 9pm.

If you had a day all to yourself (kid-free & lottery-financed), how would you spend it?  I would definetly still be in school, school is very important to me and my family. but on the fun side of things I would definetly enjoy a HUGE shopping spree! my favv

What would you say your parenting style is like?
I’m pretty strict when it comes to certain things. I see many parents giving their little ones soda and greasy foods and I’m still not allowing that; she is still on milk and juice. But being the only child I’d say I probably spoil her a little more than I should.

What do you feel you have enough of in life? What do you want more of? Less of?
I think I have enough work in my life. I feel with school, parenting, and keeping my household clean I have something going on constantly. I could defintly use a free cleaning lady! lol

How “blended” is your family? Are you still with the dad(s) of your kid(s)? Who has whose last name in the family?
Sean is not Aubrey’s biological father. He has been there for me since I was one month pregnant though so I consider him to be more of a dad than her biological dad Ryan is. Ryan wanted nothing to do with me nor Aubrey during my pregnancy. Now he has her every Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon. He has gotten better but honestly I think she goes over there more for Ryans parents benefits rather than his own. But Sean is the best dad I could ever ask for and hopefully someday Aubrey will see the same thing I do. She even calls Sean “dada” now!

What are some of your big pet peeves? People who are rude when I’m ordering food. I once went to Starbucks and had the employee sit and stare at me for 3 whole minutes before saying a word to me. I guess she was waiting on me to say something, but its her job to ask me!

What are the most unique things about yourself?
I think I’m unique just by being a young responsible mom. I fight the not so great teen mom stereotype everyday as I’m sure most of you do too. I see many moms out there partying instead of staying home with their children and I want to beat those odds by making something of myself not only for me but for my daughter too.

And finally, what’s your writing/blogging history and style? I’m honestly not sure how or what I’m going to say. I’m just going to go with the flow and write things from the heart that I feel have meaning to them. Some may be sad, funny, serious, who knows what I have in store for you to read!

One of those Heart-melting moments…

September 17th, 2010

a few days ago Phill was working late, so I decided to take Victoria out for an ice cream… all the way there  she kept asking if “we going to get dada?” and I kept telling her Dada would be home later.

So when we are in the middle of our cones she asked again if Dada was coming, and I said later, so she looks me full in the face and goes: “Then you are my friend, I love you”

awww… I’m so in love with her right now!

I’m getting a 13y.o.’s smile again! =s

August 28th, 2010
I have hated my smile ever since I can remember. I got braces when I was 10 and had them until I was 16. Yup, 6 years! My teeth weren’t horrible, but to make a long story short, I had a permanent molar that never descended, and had to change orthodontysts (sp?) like 7 times. Bringing the molar down to its proper location didn’t really take so long, but every time I changed dentits they would come up with a whole new plan to start over again!! at one point one of them actually did nothing but create a gap in between my front teeth that wasn’t there before!! and the other teeth flare out a bit! Urgh!. I’m sure the fact that I was a total slacker and always missed my appointments probably didn’t help matters.
Anyhow, the orthodontist decided to take them off saying they were doing more harm than good now (duh!). I got a retainer to help correct the “overbite” that twisting the tooth to position caused. A month later I accidently broke my retainer and I didn’t feel like going for another one.
Now here I am, almost 13 years after this begun, still hating my smile. Most of my teeth are straight except for a couple on my right upper side. I went in for a consultation earlier this week and found out my case is more complex that I thought. My old orthodontist didn’t do anything to make my jaw bigger & didn’t extract any teeth. My mouth is too small for all the teeth I have and will need at least 2 extracted. Plus I’ll have to have braces for another 1-2 years. The whole thing was a tough pill to swallow, but I decided to go through with it. I think it looks kind of funny when adults have braces, but I’m tired of hating my smile. Luckily the ortho said he’d be able to give me invisible braces! (the ones that go on the inside rather than the front of your teeth), or if I can’t afford those he can at least give me the clear braces in the front, but will need to use the metal in the back for the force. Wish me luck!
