Are you balancing heavy textbooks on one arm while carrying a diaper bag in the other? Are you trying to find the time to get your papers written in between trying to look after your children? Are you sick of explaining to professors that unlike your other colleagues who skipped class because they are recovering from a hangover, you need to miss a class for your daughter's doctor's appointment? Are you tired of explaining to new university classmates why you can't go out with them to a party? But do you sometimes feel a bit relieved to have an excuse to miss out on that whole "party and drinking" lifestyle because you're too mature for it anyways? Do you feel proud that you are a young mother who is accomlpishing something with your life, and going to be able to provide a secure future for your children? Do you hate the fact that other people in society don't respect you for trying to obtain that secure future?

If you have answered yes to one or more of these questions,
then this is the community for you!

The Young University Mommies Community is for any mother under the age of 25 raising her child or children while enrolled in college, university or some form of post-secondary education program. Come and meet other young/teen university mommies to discuss the unique lifestyle of being a student parent!

The YMH list moderators and coordinators pride ourselves in the fact that our lists are "safe havens" for mothers online. We make sure that all members of our groups follow the Community Guidelines to ensure that our lists have ALL of the supportive and positive energies our moms want, but NONE of the negative energies from those who are not commited to helping maintain a "safe zone" for mommies...

So if you have been in search of a list where you can be yourself in a safe and positive environment, then your search is over. :)
