Are you really sick of myths and stereotypes, and trying to fight against them when you really have better things to do with your time? Do you get sick of trying to explain to people who don't understand how you can be anything other than heterosexual if you have children? Are you facing discrimination even from the gay community because you have children and are seen as a "breeder"? Do you feel like you don't fit in anywhere?

Do you want a group of caring moms who will support you regardless of your sexual orientation? Are you looking for people who understand that the gender of the people you are attracted to doesn't affect your parenting abilities and doesn't mean your life as a parent will be any different? Are you searching for a bias-free zone, where there will be no discrimination?

If you have answered yes to one or more of these questions,
then this is the community for you!

The Young Queer Mommies Community is for any mother under the age of 30 raising her child or children, and who is "non-heterosexual". ;) Come and meet other young lesbian, bisexual, bicurious, and questioning mothers and combat some of the sterotypes that surround this group of moms!

The YMH list moderators and coordinators pride ourselves in the fact that our lists are "safe havens" for mothers online. We make sure that all members of our groups follow the Community Guidelines to ensure that our lists have ALL of the supportive and positive energies our moms want, but NONE of the negative energies from those who are not commited to helping maintain a "safe zone" for mommies...

So if you have been in search of a list where you can be yourself in a safe and positive environment, then your search is over. :)
