I'm very irregular, I can go 3 months without having a period (went to doctor, nothing is wrong there). Anyway, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex 8 or 9 days ago (a day after AF ended) and now I'm having terrible cramps (don't last more than an hr or so), backache and severe exhaustion. When should I take a test if I have a very irregular cycle?

Well with a normal cycle most people test about 14 days after ovulation...but since you have an irregular cycle and wouldnt have as good an idea about when you ovulated i would wait and test around 2 1/2-3 weeks after you had sex. that should give an ok window for when it could have occured.

I agree w/ Cara. My sis had irregular periods like you. It was very unpredictable & she would go months w/o a period & for her, that was compeletely normal. She took a test about 2 months after her last period & sure enough, she was pregnant. If your still having symptoms after your 2 1/2 -3 week mark, test again or go see your doc. Good luck! I hope you get the results you want

Also, I've been having terrible cramps in my ovary area and low back pain... dizziness when standing to fast. Are these symptoms possible at 10 days? If not, I'll go to a dr
