Young Mommies Resources

The Young Mommies Help Site's mandate includes informing young mothers. As such, our growing collection of resources for young mothers is helping to make pregnant teens and teen moms aware of all the aspects of their pregnancy, their parenting, the growth of their children, and how parenting will affect their lives.

Our articles, resource directory and teen pregnancy statistics help our moms educate themselves about the world of parenting. These resource sections continue to grow and develop, so if the information you are looking for is not yet here, please stop by again soon, or better yet e-mail the webmaster to make a request.

Pregnancy Due Date Calculator
Use our handy due date calculator to figure out when you are due to deliver! Also includes tons of helpful information on your cycle and on the calculation of pregnancy due dates.

CHOICES
Are you a pregnant teen? You may have some important choices to make - let us help by providing access to all the information, instead of just what others want you to hear. No matter what anyone tells you - it is your life and you choice!.

City-by-city Resource Directory
Please visit our directory of Young Mother/ Teen Pregnancy phone numbers, centres and other programs on a city-by-city list.
This section is in need of information, so please send in your city's information!!!

Articles
Here are some articles that were submitted to the site about topics that are of interest to young moms.

Statistics
Teen pregnancy and young mother statistics and research.

Blended Family Tree Diagram
A non-traditional take on a "family tree". Print this one out for your child(ren) if their teacher gives them a family tree that forces them to conform to a "nuclear family" standard. You are welcome to print/copy/distribute this picture so long as: 1. it is for personal use (not profit), 2. you do not modify it and 3. you leave the copyright and credit statement on the document.

Lunch-packing Guide for School-aged children
Get your older kids involved in packing their own lunches. Print out this colourful and fun lunch-packing guide as a starting point. You can then fill in each box (with your child's help), of ideas and suggestions of items they could pack. For example, the vegetable they pack could be carrots, celery, green peppers, etc. You are welcome to print/copy/distribute this guide so long as: 1. it is for personal use (not profit), 2. you do not modify it and 3. you leave the copyright and credit statement on the document.
