Week 7

Life:

Life has been crazy, but it's on it's way to settling down! I actually just quit my job this past week, because it was just waaaay too stressful! My family, including taking care of this little baby, is my first priority, followed by my home, followed by school, and work was getting in the way of all those things. So I am feeling a little worn down from all those stressful things going on, but I'm happy to have taken a step in a positive direction. Hopefully now things will start calming down and I'll have more time to nurture myself, my family, and my baby.

Emotional:

Still riding the hormone roller-coaster, and getting a little teary-eyed the strangest things! But at least now that I've passed the 6-week-mark, I am feeling less anxious about the baby. Everything seems to be going really well, so that's a relief. I don't think I'll be fully convinced until I'm past the 1st trimester "safe zone" mark, but I'm feeling really positive about this baby's health- he/she is really sticking in there! My HCG levels came back pretty high, and my hormones have been strong enough to really effect my body, so these are all promising signs. I think the ultimate reassurance will be my ultrasound though, which is coming up this Thursday!!!

Physical:

I guess I jinxed myself in my last pregnancy journal entry when I was bragging about being nauseous but not actually throwing up yet!! because I did for the first time the next morning, and a 2nd time again later in the week. :( I am not liking this nausea stuff, but I just need to hang in there and remember that it only lasted until about 12-14 weeks with Harmony, so I am just praying that it will be the same for this one! It's much worse in the mornings but it is by no means "morning sickness" - sometimes I feel queasy for most of the day, even in the evenings.
