We decided to name our baby willow roselyn...

I always had a feeling that this baby was a girl, so even though we will never know for sure whether she was or wasn't, I would rather give her this identity than call her "he or she" or worse "it" for the rest of my life. I really wanted to give her a name to show that she was still my child, even though only for a short time. I nurtured her in my womb the best I knew how, and cared for her as much as I could. I am still her mother.

The lower case letters of her name have significance because she never got to be born as an infant, she was never fully developped. I feel like lower case letters are more fitting to describe this tiny life, this 2" baby that never got to open her eyes and see the world like full term babies do. Her middle name starts with an "r", just like her angel brother that is with her in heaven - angel ronan.
